AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 89 -85 AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING
BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,
1990.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 89 -85, as adopted by the Hawaii County
Council on June 7, 1989, did not include all of the revenues and
positions of the Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services
program; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council was notified by the Fire
Department that 6 Fire Fighter positions were not included, thus
State EMS grant revenues and the Contingency Account in the General
Fund of the Operating Budget were reduced by $200,000 to insure that
the expenditures did not exceed revenues; and k
WHEREAS, it was further understood that the Operating Budget
would be amended at a later date to accommodate the adjustments to
properly reflect the revenues and expenditures of the Emergency
Medical Services program.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Purpose. It is the purpose of this ordinance to
amend the Operating Budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1990
to properly account for all revenues and expenditures relating to
the Emergency Medical Services program. This ordinance also
provides for the return of $200,000 to the Contingency Account.

SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 89 -85, as amended, is further amended
by reducing and increasing the appropriations in the following

SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed. New material
