NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 19-90, Article 11, Chapter 19 of the Hawai`i County Code,
notice is hereby given that the following public hearings will be held by the Council of the County of Hawai`i
for the purpose of considering real property tax rates for all classes of real property in the County of Hawaii for
Fiscal Year July 1, 2006 to June 30,2007.
DATES: May 16, 2006 (Tuesday) May 18, 2006 (Thursday)
TIMES: 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m.
PLACES: County Building Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa
County Council Room Keauhou III & IV
25 Aupuni Street 78-128 `Ehukai Street
Hilo, Hawai`i Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i
The County Council will consider the following tax rates within the following range of rates for all
classes of real property for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2006 to June 30,2007 (current real property tax rates for
the Fiscal Year July 1,2005 to June 30,2006 are shown in bold):

All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the hearing and must
register prior to the convening of the meeting. Those persons unable to testify in person may submit testimony:
(I) by mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Room No. 209, Hilo, Hawai`i, 96720, (2) by
facsimile to(808)961-8912, (3) by e-mail to counciltestimony @co.hawaii.hi.us. Copies will be made and
distributed at the hearing when transmitted in a timely manner. In any case, both oral and written testimony will
be considered public record.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special
accommodations to attend this hearing should call 961-8255 by May 12, 2006. Persons using TDDs may call
961-8521.
