NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Pursuant to §92-41, Hawaii Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Hawai`i
County Council will be holding public hearings to hear testimony on:
Bill 300: Amends Chapter 14 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983
(2005 Edition), as Amended, General Welfare. {Policy objectives
are: 1) no alcohol in any County parks and recreation facility
without a permit; 2) permit for alcohol only at a limited number of
narrowly defined sites; and 3) permit for alcohol only during one
time period (12 p.m. to 10 p.m.).}
All interested persons are invited to attend and they shall be afforded the opportunity to
be heard. Those persons wishing to testify in person must register with the
Council/Clerk's staff prior to the convening of the hearing. Those testifying in person
and submitting written testimony should bring 16 copies of the testimony for distribution
at the meeting. Those persons unable to testify in person may submit testimony (1)by
mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai`i, (2) by facsimile to
(808) 961-8912, or (3) by e-mail to counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Persons who need
special accommodations to attend the meeting held on August 23`d should call by
August 16, 2006, and the meeting held on September 20`" should call by September 13,
2006. Persons using TDDs may call 961-8521.

Notice is hereby given that the public hearing regarding Bill 300 (Drinking
Alcoholic Beverages in County Parks and Recreation Facilities) previously
scheduled for August 23, 2006 (Wednesday), has been changed to August 21,
2006 (Monday). The meeting will be held at the same place and time.
