NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Pursuant to §92-41, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Hawai`i
County Council will be holding a public hearing to hear testimony on:
Bill 309, Draft 4: Planning Director Initiated—Amends the Hawai`i
County General Plan, as Adopted by Ordinance No. 05 25.
{Proposed amendments are to the text, policies, courses of action,
Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide (LUPAG) Map, and Facilities
Map. Revisions in the draft include deletion of A-1, A-2, B-2, and
B-3 on the LUPAG Map, and revisions to the Planning Director's
proposed text amendments to the General Plan.}
All interested persons are invited to attend and they shall be afforded the opportunity to
be heard. Those persons wishing to testify in person must register with the
Council/Clerk's staff prior to the convening of the hearing. Those testifying in person
and submitting written testimony should bring 17 copies of the testimony for distribution
at the meeting. Those persons unable to testify in person may submit testimony (1)by
mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai`i, (2) by facsimile to
(808) 961-8912, or (3) by e-mail to counciltestimony @co.hawaii.hi.us.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with physical disabilities. Persons who need
special accommodations to attend the meeting should call by October 24, 2006. Persons
using TDDs may call 961-8521.
