NO 11(..'1:1 IS HEREBY GIVEN that in compliance with Chapter 19, Article 11, Section 19-90(b) of the
Hawai•i County Code, as amended, the County Council of the County of Hawai`i has scheduled the
Real Property Tax Rate Resolution on its agenda on the following date, time and place for the purpose
of fixing the real property tax rates for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009.,
DATE: May 7, 2008
TIME: 8:30 a.m.
PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa
78-128 `Ehukai Street
Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i
The real property tax rates for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, shall beixed ollows:

These rates would be fixed by the County Council upon its adoption of Resolution No. 621-08. If the
Council does not act upon Resolution No. 621-08 on or before June 20, 2008, the tax rates as
pre_viously set shall be applicable to fiscal year 2008-2009. A public hearing will be scheduled for the
new class (Affordable Rental Housing).
All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the meeting and
must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should
bring seventeen copies for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted: (1) by mail to the County
Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Room No. 209, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, (2) by facsimile to
(808) 961-8912, or (3) by e-mail to counciltestimony @co.hawaii.hi.us. For testimony received via
e-mail or fax. copies will be distributed at the meeting when transmitted in a timely manner. All oral
and written testimony will be made a part of the public record. The meeting place is accessible for
NI sons with disabilities. Persons who need special accommodations for this meeting should call
(808) 961-8255 by May 5, 2008. Persons using TDDs may call (808) 961-8521.
Videoconferencing is available at the following locations: (1) Council Room at the Ben Franklin
Building (333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo) and (2) Waimea Council Office at the Holomua Center
(64-11)67 Maunalahoa Highway, Suite 5, Waimea).

the l iawai`i County Council will be conducting its May 7, 2008, meeting via videoconference.
Council Members will be present at the following locations: County Council Room, Ben Franklin
Building, Second Floor, 333 Kilauea Avenue, Hilo, 96720 and the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and
Spa, 78-128 'Ehukai Street, Kailua-Kona, 96740. If audio stream is lost for more than a short period
of time. the meeting will be terminated.
