NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Pursuant to §92-41 and §243-5, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the
following public hearing will be held by the Council of the County of Hawai`i for the purpose of
considering Resolution 504-08, Draft 2,which would extend the County of Hawai`i Fuel Tax to
an amount between 8.8 cents and 13 cents per gallon:
Date: March 11, 2008 (Tuesday)
Time: 6 p.m.

All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally atrthe heaig
and must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimoi -a;t the
hearing should bring seventeen copies for distribution. Testimony may also be suf'sThitted4)b "
mail to the County Clerk's Office in Hilo at 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, Hawai`i, 96720A2)by fa imile
to(808)961-8912; or(3)by e-mail to counciltestimony @co.hawaii.hi.us. For testimony received
via e-mail or fax, copies will be distributed at the hearing when transmitted in a timely manner.
All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record.
Videoconferencing is available at the following locations:
• Hilo Council Room at the Ben Franklin Building, Second Floor; and
• Waimea Council Office at the Holomua Center.
If for technical or other unanticipated reasons the video connection cannot be made and/or is
disrupted,the scheduled meeting will continue.
• Videoconferencing from the Pahoa Neighborhood Facility will not be available.
The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. Persons who need special
accommodations for this hearing should call by March 6, 2008. Persons using TDDs may call
961-8521.
