SUBJECT: Referral of the Environmental Management Commission's Recommendation of Bill No. 64. Attached please find the Environmental Management Commission's recommendations of Bill No. 64. Pursuant to Section 2-207 of the Hawai`i County Code, Bill No. 64 was referred to the Director of the Department of Environmental Management and to the Environmental Management Commission on April 30, 2013. The Director of the Department of Environmental Management returned Bill No. 64 with her recommendations on May 30, 2013. Please place Bill No 64 on the next appropriate committee agenda. ZK/bl att. The Environmental Management Commission's (EMC) meeting scheduled for May 29, 2013 was cancelled due to lack of quorum and the EMC will not reconvene until after the 45-day review deadline of June 14, 2013. Therefore pursuant to County Code section 2-207, "such inaction shall be considered as a negative recommendation." Thank you for the opportunity to review this Bill. cc: Mayor William P.
