Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Steve E. Handy of Hilo to the Hawaii County Hawaii
Redevelopment Agency. Mr. Handy will replace Beatrice L. Lau, whose term will
expire on December 31, 1998.
Mr. Handy is a 24 -year resident of Hawaii and since 1988, has been the
owner /President of One Handy Subway, Ltd. He is a member of the Downtown
Improvement Association and states that he is a Republican.
If approved, Mr. Handy will serve a term to end on December 31, 2003. Should
the Council require further information regarding this submission, you may call
me at your convenience.
