Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Barbara A. K. Nobriga from the South Kona District
to the Hawai'i County Leeward Planning Commission. Ms. Nobriga is a lifelong
resident of Hawaii. She is a self-employed ranch manager of Mahealani Ranch.
Ms. Nobriga is the chair of the Kamehameha Day Parade, a member of the Kailua
Village District Design, and a 30-year member of the 4-H Horse Program. She
was formerly a member of the Daughters of Hawai'i. If confirmed, she will serve a
five year term to end on March 31, 2018, replacing Wayne lokepa whose term
expired on March 31, 2013.
