Subject: Support of Bill 79
To whom it may concern,
As a resident of Hawaii county and a sustainable farmer, I strongly support Bill 79, with
all of my heart.
I am deeply concerned with the lack of labeling and regulation of GMO' s . Until more
testing and proof is provided that these crops are safe, I fully support a ban on all
GMO's .
As a farmer trained in sustainable agriculture, I value genetic diversity, healthy soil,
and diverse healthy plant and insect systems. I absolutely support any bill protecting
these systems, as does Bill 79.
core is no second chance on this decision. Once GMO' s infiltrate our agricultural
systems, there is no way to reverse the damage due to contamination and cross pollination.
This is very concerning and should be a public decision, not that of a few biotech
companies.
As an individual, I pledge to continue sustainable organic farming practices to provide
cafe food for my family and community.
Please do the correct thing and join me in support of Bill 79.
