Timetable.
Attached is a letter from Mr. Mel Rapozo, Hawai`i State Association of Counties
President, regarding the 2014 HSAC legislative package timetable.
Please see the attached letter during today's discussion regarding the 2014 HSAC
legislative package (as referenced by Communication No. 324) in the Governmental
Relations and Economic Development Committee.

SUBJECT: 2014 HAWAI`I STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
LEGISLATIVE PACKAGE TIMETABLE
In preparation of the 2014 Hawai`i State Legislative Session, the Hawaii State
Association of Counties (HSAC) General Membership approved the following legislative
package timetable at its June 20, 2013 meeting. Additionally, a second General
Membership Meeting will be scheduled in October to discuss the proposed 2014 HSAC
Legislative Package.
A. August 30, 2013 — Deadline to receive proposals from each County to be
included in the 2014 HSAC Legislative Package.
B. September 13, 2013 — Schedule HSAC Executive Committee Meeting to
discuss and act on all proposals submitted by each County. Approved
Proposals will then be forwarded to each County for their consideration.
C:°" October 2013 :1,Schedule'HSAC General Membership Meeting to discuss
the proposed 20°14,°HSAC Legislative Package. Specific date, time, and
location to be determined.
D. November 8, 2013 -- Deadline for the Counties to approve the proposed
2014 HSAC Legislative Package.
E. November 22, 2013 — Schedule HSAC Executive Committee Meeting to
approve the final 2014 HSAC Legislative Package.
Please note that each proposal needs to be approved:.by'all four (4) Counties for it
to be included in the final 2014 HSAC Legislative Package.
The HSAC Executive Committee will be discussing HSAC's lobbying.plan for the
2014 Hawaii State Legislative Session at its Executive Committe'e°'`-Meeti°ng on
