Dear County Council Members, July 26, 2013
The best I can say may not be a sufficiently good testimony for Duane Kanuha, but what an honor it is
for me to write this testimony on his behalf.
Duane will be an excellent Planning Director as validated by his extensive background, some 40 plus
years in real estate planning and development. Duane has also been employed in both the public and
private sectors which I feel further make him a suitable Planning Director, having been on both sides of
matters. A keiki o' ka aina as well, Duane also knows the history and lay of our land, another significant
factor in the consideration.
Personally, I have known Duane for some 20 plus years and find him to be very intelligent, competent,
thorough, and caring. He is one I can recommend with complete confidence.
