Aloha Council Members,
I support Bobby Jean Leithead-Todd as Director of the Department of Environmental Management. If you are concerned
about the fact that she does not hold an engineering degree, she does hold a law degree, and considering how many
regulations are involved in both Solid Waste and Wastewater, that certainly qualifies as a related field.The equally
important, some would say more important, part of the job is management, and she has that experience in spades.
Managing staff, budgets, projects, consultants, programs, and even projects. Bobby Jean is quite an experienced and
accomplished manager.
I urge you to consider the job to be done and realize that Ms. Leithead Todd needs to be approved now, so that she can
get to the jobs at hand.
