Importance: High Dear Council Member, I have attempted several times to send this email to the main email address"counciltestimony @co.hawaii.hi.us", where it will be part of the testimony, but it keeps bouncing back to me. Please submit this email as part of the testimony regarding Bill 79! I strongly support BILL 79! I have been made aware of a the very sad and unwelcome possibility that is being considered on the beautiful island of Hawaii; namely allowing planting of Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMO's as they are commonly known. I have been researching GMO's for several years now, and the research has convinced me that they are a hazard to the health of all beings,to say nothing of the water, the bees, and our beautiful planet. I found out last year that GMO's have been being tested on Maui for many years, and was very disheartened to hear that. Maui used to be one of my favorite places to visit, as I am a resident of Washington state and love the Hawaiian islands as a vacation destination, and have even considered moving there, but since finding out about the GMO's I will not return there knowing the island is being poisoned. I could not ever again visit Hawaii's beautiful big island if GMO's were to be allowed. The prospect of that is very heartbreaking to me. I pray you, please do not allow GMO's to be grown on the big island of Hawaii, and energetically SUPPORT BILL 79 and ban GMOs from being planted on the island of Hawaii. Save the Island of Hawaii from the desecration from GMO's! Respectfully and Sincerely, Luanne Anderson PO Box 175 Chinook, WA 98614 360-777-0074 o n w On I- 1 <-! • rri l .r r D= tag — Comm.
