Aloha- I am currently a part time resident of Big Island Hawaii, and was planning to make my residency full time next year after finishing some personal business on the mainland that I must attend to first. I am shocked and highly concerned to hear that there's a chance that so many GMO crops may start to invade Hawaii. I realize that there are already GMO papayas, and I've already been upset about that. But the addition of the GMO corn and possible other crops has me beside myself. I've felt as though Hawaii is the only part of the US left where these types of practices have not invaded the land, where it still feels "safe". I have many friends and family who feel the same way, and those who do not live here visit because of this attraction ( and will not continue to visit if the GMOs come here). I implore you to please support this bill to ban GMOs from our island, in order to keep it safe and natural. We all deserve that, and so does the land. n Mahalo- °— aC) c Jenni Bearden r Pahoa, HI - -G 11c-) r- rn JIM . — Comm. No. 7/ /84L Ref.To: PG 5r g3 Ref. Dote 7/1/2013
