RESOLUTION NO. 151 13
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE
MONETARY CONTRIBUTION FROM NA LEO `O HAWAII, INC.
FOR PRODUCTION COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE
VIDEOTAPING OF COUNCIL MEETINGS
WHEREAS, Na Leo `O Hawaii is contributing $35,000 for production costs
associated with the videotaping of Council meetings; and
WHEREAS, their contribution will ensure continued broadcasts of County
Council meetings on Na Leo, which is very important for an informed citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of
personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk recommends the acceptance of
this contribution; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the
Council of the County of Hawai`i accepts this contribution.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this
resolution be sent to Mr. Baron A. Sekiya, General Manager, Na Leo 0 Hawaii
Inc., 91 Mohouli Street, Hilo, Hawaii, acknowledging their contribution.
