Aloha Hawaii County community leaders !
This testimony is to support the ban of GMO in Hawaii. County. We do not know enough about
the effects of GMO on our environment and our health to allow further production and sale
of GMO in hawaii. We cannot afford to be an experiment lab due to our isolation! We want
to preserve our land and our people and allowing these foreign practices deemed new
technology to flourish amongst us is not wise. We need the `acts that say this practice of
producing GMO foods as well as the consumption of it is safe for our keiki and our entire
Uhana in extension to our hawaii communities . Without this information we cannot allow the
occupation of these agricultural corporations such as Monsanto rights to the leasing and
or ownership of our land. . . That means lands that Belong to a trust of our kings or
queens, our State land, any ceded land as well. It is the right thing to do. We mahalo you
tor listening and hope that you can make the just decision to deny the presence of GMO in
our Hawaii county.
