I commend you for bringing this legislation forward. Mahalo nui loa for having the kuamo'o to
stand for the people and the Island. I so appreciate the strength of character it takes to do what's
right, as opposed to what is expedient. I think Margaret Wille is a hero to introduce this bill; you
will all be heroes when it passes.

Subject: Support of Bill 079
Aloha Council Chair and Members,
I am a resident of Kaua'i, and an advocate of healthy soil, clean water and vibrant communities. I urge
you to support this proposed legislation, Bill 079, introduced by Margaret Wille, or you will lose those
precious gifts, as well as much of your right to "home rule"!
I know, because we are struggling here on Kaua'i to reclaim those gifts which have been sold to the
GMO Chemical/Seed Companies. Even though there is strong community support to get rid of the
"Bio-Tech Industries" that have compromised the health and well being of our West Side residents,
legislation at this point seems to be directed at (hopefully) mitigating as much of the damage as
possible. Once these firms get a foot hold, it is NOT easy to get them out.
PLEASE, support this bill and refuse them access to your 'Aina. Ku E!
