Subject: GMO on Hawaii...
What needs to be done at this time is that the Madness needs to halted and reversed, although reversing
is an issue for a later date...Now is the time to stop the spread of what is on daily bases proven to be no
good for the land, for the people of today and for the next generations...most natives of the Americas had
as a bases for their decision making and that was, how will this effect the next Seven Generations...this
is very sound logic...and no scientist from any walk of life can truly say what will happen Seven
Generations from now if this GMO testing is allowed to expand and consume more of the lands of these
wonderful islands...GOOD OR BAD, nobody knows...what we do know is if we do not allow such
action we take the mystery out of it...we know that the land will stay clean and the food will be able to
be eaten without concern..if crops are to be protected there will be other means to do so with other than
chemical warfare...what difference does it make if we have enough to eat today if it is carrying a threat
of poisoning us later...and if scientists from the chemical company say it is harmless...I say they simply
DO NOT REALLY KNOW...look at the history of all the products in the past that were HARMLESS
upon inception...time sure proved many such statements wrong...So I appeal to your better judgment and
say PLEASE, with the ALOHA that is is the Constitution of the Great Sate of Hawai'i...CLOSE THE
GATE of Island of Hawaii and tell the chemical companies NO, I AM SORRY, BUT YOU ARE NOT
WELCOME HERE...We all pray the the conscious of these companies changes and they put greed and
profit behind and start thinking of the people...But until that day it is YOU we must depend on for
protection....so PLEASE PROVIDE US WITH THAT PROTECTION...Mahalo Nui Loa, Much Aloha...
