Subject: Fw: ACTION REQUEST Hawaii County Council takes the lead
I send a voice around the ordinance that you have before you on the banning of GMO. Please
pass this ordinance not only for your island but for all of us who recognize that this is not a
framing practice but a chemical and poison testing practice. Loss of life at all levels, the word
going out to the tourist industry of what is occurring here, and the effects on real estate value is a
factor out weighing any gain from this subsidized, tax exempt corporate engine that has with their
boardroom rights usurped the rights of the people who call these islands home. This is an
unproven and dangerous experiment using us and this precious land as their test tube!
Your courage to face this is an opportunity at a global level to stand up to an abomination of
monumental proportions when looked back on in the future will show you as heroic. Many small
towns and counties are leading the people back to a democracy from all over the US in the face
of the oligarchy that has over the last many decades embedded itself at the highest levels of
government.
