We are Strongly against BILL#79
Reason Why we started Planting GMO Papayas
Got hit by the papaya ringspot virus
Tried planting non-gmo papayas but failed because of the papaya ringspot virus
Planting gmo papayas puts food on the table and roof over head and depend on it to pay the bills
It also helped me and my 2 sisters to go to school
My youngest sister Cristle recently graduated from washington state unversity to be a
journalist, if it wasn't for planting gmo papayas my parents wouldn't be able to afford to
pay for her tuition and rent
When my dad is done farming papayas, I want to keep doing this.
If BILL #79 passes it discourages me from being a
"Future Farmer of Hawaii"
