Dear Councilmembers,
The testimony from Kaua' i Uprising is strong evidence that we, right now, need to protect
our Island from exploitation and the deadly influences of CMO production and the chemicals
that go with it . There is no tomorrow if those companies get a foothold on our Island.
Please pass Bill 79 and any other legislation that preserves the dignity and safety of
Hawai ' i Island food and life of all kind.

Dear Hawaii County Council,
As a citizen of Hawaii Island, I do not want GMO planting and development here. It will
ruin any chance for a healthy agricultural environment and GMO is not a sustainable method
of developing a healthy island food supply. Please pass Bill 79.
