Dear Honorable Council Members,
Dear Honorable Council Members,
As a resident of Hawai'i, I ask that you please listen with an open mind and heart those that are testifying before you and via
video and written world against genetically modified organism crops and their poisonous herbicides and pesticides. There is
absolutely no reason to subject the most beautiful place on earth to this chemical onslaught. The citizens before you are
learned on this topic and have no financial interest to protect.
I look forward to hearing how the courageous County Council took action in behalf of the good of the people and the aina.
Please look into your hearts and do the right thing.

To The Honorable Council Members of Hawaii County,
In your deliberations over Bill 79, please pay special attention to the legacy you will be leaving for future
generations. There are many aspects of genetically modified organisms that are irreversible. I refuse to believe
that any one of you would want to be looked back on by future generations as the ones who could have done
something and didn't...Who had the power in their hands and threw it away and for what? A little bit of money.
Please do the right thing. Step up and be leaders. Please pass Bill 79, not only for the well being of the people
and aina of the Island of Hawai'i, but for our whole state. Reject the corporations who care not for the people,
but only for profit.
