Subject: CMOs
I just want to say that I buy at least 3 papayas a week. I will not buy any papayas from Hawaii anymore,
since I found out that almost all are GMO. A lot of countries have banned or required labels of GMO
papayas, and that should tell you something. It is only going to get worse for GMO's. Please vote yes on
Bill 79. Be a leader in the country. Protect your native land. Do not let big corporations bully you. I
understand ring spot almost wiped out all papaya, but there are other ways and banning GMO's will be
the best thing for Hawaii in the long run. Nature will always prevail and we are very arrogant to think
we can out smart it.
