Aloha Hawai ' i Island County Council ,
I am writing in support of Bill 79 .
I could go into detailed specifics of all the reasons why the
concerns about organic crop contamination from wind drift , the loss
of the bee population linked to the poisons , the destruction of our
soil through heavier and heavier doses of poison the linkage
of GMO foods to intestinal damage , birth defects , infertility and
cancer
But all you really need to consider is your personal responsibility
as our elected official to rule by the Precautionary Principle .
It is your DUTY to ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION .
Regardless of how you feel personally, regardless of how good the
case FOR or AGAINST economics related to a GMO-Free or a GMO-poisoned
Hawai ' i , you have th responsibility as an elected official to ERR ON
THE SIDE OF CAUTION .
