GMOs are sustainable, organic, non-GMOS are not sustainable. GMOs can make an immediate economic impact and organic, non-GMOs will take decades, if ever, to have any significant impact on the economy of the Big Island. GMOs are affordable, non- GMOs are not. GMOs are broad-based, non-GMOs are a niche industry. Label the products and / or put the issue on the 2014 paper ballot and let the island make the decision, not 9 members on a council who know very little about farming/ agriculture / owning a business. I'm 70 years old and as healthy as anyone on the council or in the state and I grew up eating GMO meat, eggs, veggies, fruit. mahalo tarry gering w on -O ID—'C 1 CO ..a' Comm. N 1 Ref. Ref.
