Aloha Hawaii Island County Council,
I am writing in support of Bill 79.
I could go into detailed specifics of all the reasons why the concerns about organic crop contamination from wind
drift, the loss of the bee population linked to the poisons, the destruction of our soil through heavier and heavier doses
of poison the linkage of GMO foods to intestinal damage, birth defects, infertility and cancer
But all you really need to consider is your personal responsibility as our elected official to rule by the Precautionary
Principle.
It is your DUTY to ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION.
Regardless of how you feel personally, regardless of how good the case FOR or AGAINST economics related to a GMO-
Free or a GMO-poisoned Hawaii, you have th responsibility as an elected official to ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION.
