Aloha Council Members,
As a Big Island resident, Mother, Wife & Steward of Earth, I request that you deeply consider the long-
term negative consequences of GMOs, both known and unknown, on our health and sustainability. The
importance of restricting further proliferation of this technology on our Island is utmost.
Hawaii has always been a State of Independence. For centuries the people of Hawaii have lived
harmoniously with this fragile ecosystem; respecting our responsibility to the Aina. Now is not the time
to abandon these principals for poisons and profits!
Please vote in favor of Bill 79 to halt the increase of GMO crops on the Big Island.
