Subject: Please support biotechnology research and use
Dear Mr.Yoshimoto,
I am a farmer from Shelby County, Iowa.You might ask why I am contacting you about biotech crops.
90%of the corn and 100%of the soybeans I and other Iowa farmers plant contain some biotech traits.These traits allow
me to "no-till" plant my crops which reduces erosion and the use of pesticides. It allows us to increase our productivity
to feed an increasing world population.
The safety of these crops is not questioned here and is not an issue.
Please do not pass a county bill that restricts the research or use of biotechnology.
