Dear Mr.Yoshimoto,
Farmers in Iowa have embraced biotechnology. In Iowa 90 percent of corn and nearly 100 percent of soybeans grown
have some biotech trait.These traits have allowed us to grow more using less water,fertilizer, and pesticides. Biotech
has helped add acres to no and minium tillage to reduce erosion and improve water quality.
Seed company interests in research is very important to all of us. Please do not pass county bills that will restrict or ban
the exploration and use of biotechnology.
