Subject: in Support of Bill 79
Dear County Committee:
Please register me as a property owner in Mauna Loa estates (Volcano) who is VERY supportive of Bill
79. Protecting the island is an essential job of local government, and this wisely written legislation will go far to
keep the land safer from the suspected ill effects of GMOs.
I earnestly hope that enforcement will be vigorous, and that our Big Island will be a visible example of the people
taking self determination into their own hands. The native island life has had more than enough assaults upon
it already, without adding the burden of these unknown hazards which seem to have no benefit but to the parent
corporation.
Show that we have learned something from the mongoose! These things cannot, realistically, ever be put back in
the bottle, and GE plants will simply be inextricable once they escape into the gene pool.
