Dear Mr.Yoshimoto,
I raise corn and soybeans on the Liike Family farm in Iowa. I shall refrain from any critical remarks toward you and your
fellow council members but ask you to ask yourself one simple question, "Am I going to be responsible for millions of my
fellow human beings starving to death?" I hope you can live with yourself if you answer"yes" if you continue to support
the banning of GM seed producton and research in your county.
Folks, I don't want to go back to the days of 35 bushel corn per acre employing open pollinated seed corn nor do I wish
to combine 15 bushel per acre soybeans. I am assuming you folks would have opposed the development of hybrid cereal
and feed grains when they were researched. I trust you you will reconsider your position and support the American
farmer and seed grower in their efforts to free the world from hunger.
Sincerely,
Sincerely, o
William Liike c CD
