NSY .iN <br /> • cI JiS. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII :.:,� " � • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> _ J <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 167 13 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $30 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION TO SUPPORT THE 2013 OHANA SHORELINE <br /> FISHING TOURNAMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Jeffrey and Helen Lorance are donating $30 to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to provide prizes for the 2013 Ohana <br /> Shoreline Fishing Tournament; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization <br /> procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by <br /> the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution <br /> process; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
