Comm. 246: AMENDS CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE 2, OF THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE
(Bill 64) 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO CLEARING OCCUPIED
AND UNOCCUPIED LOTS
From Council Member Zendo Kern, dated April 12, 2013. Changes the title of Article 2 to
“Clearing Occupied and Unoccupied Lots” {adds “Occupied and”}; adds definitions for
“Refuse,” “Undergrowth,” and “Unsafe flora;” changes title Section 20-21 to “Removal of
refuse, undergrowth, and unsafe flora required” {adds “unsafe flora”} and amends that
section; and changes title of Section 20-22 to “Complaint by adjacent or abutting owner(s),
request to clear” {adds “or abutting,” deletes “owners,” and adds “owner(s)}” and amends
that section; amends Section 20-23 by adding “occupied lots.”

Submitting Video Testimony: Those submitting video testimony may email a complete web address (url) to
