Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to add the project titled "Mamalahoa Highway Improvements", and appropriating $1,500,000 to the Capital Budget. REQUEST: An ordinance to amend Ordinance 13-66, the Capital Budget, by adding an appropriation for the engineering and construction for the Mamalahoa Highway (Route 19) Improvements, (Kamamalu Street to Waikelehua Place), in the amount of $1,500,000. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): This project is to improve the travel lanes along the Mamalahoa Highway from Kamamalu Street to Waikeleua Place, in the town of Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii. The $1,500,000 appropriation for County funding is needed for the engineering and construction of the project.
