Dear Mr.Yoshimoto,
I would like you to consider the papayas industry in Hawaii.Technology saved that industry from a virus that could have
made it extinct!
I am a small Iowa Farmer that grows corn and soybeans. I also raise pigs. GMOs have allowed me to be more efficient in
my farm operation. I now have the tools to no-til my ground and use weed control that is much more friendly to the
environment.
I have read many studies on the use of GMOs and if you look into them with-out the emotional baggage, I think you will
understand that there are not any that show harm from using GMOs.This has been the most studied farm technology
ever. And it is not new. It has been studied for over twenty years.Government regulation is the biggest threat to food
security. I hope you will give this some honest and clear thought before bogging an industry down in needless regulation
that would not have any common good.
Thanks for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Larry Sailer W rpn
