This kind of treatment made humans feel sick if they accidentally got a small granule into their mouths or noses. Now, with the Biotechnology of built-in pesticides inside the seed---humans don't have to be so afraid of being"poisoned" by handling it. If we don't have this kind of protection inside the seeds that are planted, our crops are open to damage by the insects that feed on them.
