Farmers in Iowa have embraced biotechnology's influence in crop production because it has allowed us to grow more while reducing erosion, reducing our need for water, and reducing our use of pesticides and fertilizer. We're also proud of the safety of the crops we grow. In Iowa, 90 percent of corn and nearly 100 percent of soybeans grown include some biotech traits. These crops have proven to be safe for our families who work on the farm, the livestock we feed, and consumers. Please do not pass a county bill that will restrict or ban the exploration and use of biotechnology. Sincerely, Carol Tripp 1431 Mormon Ridge Rd Union, IA 50258 kom R l a71c .. 100 1 Ref.
