Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 118, reports as follows:
Bill No. 118, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 403 dated
August 15, 2013, amends Ordinance No. 13-65, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014. The amendment is as follows:
From:
010.3302.56 Federal Grants - Occupant Protection Program General $ 13,000
To:
010.201.5219.76 Occupant Protection Program General $ 13,000
This bill appropriates revenues of$13,000 in the Federal Grants - Occupant Protection Program
account, and appropriates same to the Occupant Protection Program account. The State of
Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing additional funding of$13,000
to the Occupants Protection program, bringing the total grant appropriation to $85,000. The grant
funds will be used to allow the HCPD to purchase two Prism Inflatable Light 1000 systems for
nighttime seat belt checkpoints.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 118, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
