EXPLANATION (Provide complete explanation):
For FY 2013-14 RSVP received a one-time Federal augmentation of$1,500 specifically for training and
technical assistance opportunities. The purchase of a new PC for the Program Director would enable full
participation in Federal webinars and virtual conferences. His current PC was purchased in May 2006 and
doesn't provide the capability to successfully access the virtual conferences that are presented by the Corporation
for National and Community Service(RSVP's Federal sponsor). Because this was an unexpected increase,no
funds were budgeted in#454 account.

EXPLANATION (Provide complete explanation):
Funds are available in the Misc Contracts account due to the new recently restructured contract awarded which
resulted in a lower estimated cost to the county for disposal of abandoned vehicles.
Funds are needed to purchase two(2)20' storage containers to place at each of the Abandoned Vehicle impound
lots to securely store motorcycles and other similar type vehicles which have been classifed as abandoned. As
custodian of the impounded property, the County of Hawai'i may be liable for any damages or loss incurred to a
vehicle or motorcycle while in our possession.
