Comm. 384: FINAL REPORT - FOOD BASKET. INC. From Council Chair J Yoshimoto, dated September 6, 2013, transmitting the above report from Mr. En Young, Executive Director of The Food Basket, Inc. In 2012, the Hawaii County Council released a total of $275,000 to The Food Basket, Inc., through two mechanisms: Ordinance No. 12 -35 ($200,000), and Resolution No. 229 -12 ($75,000). Comm. 415: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING (Bill 124) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30. 2014 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 28, 2013. Increases revenues of $19,112 in the Federal Grants - Aggressive Driving Project account, and appropriates same to the Aggressive Driving Project account. The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing additional funding of $19,112 to the Hawaii County Police Department's Aggressive Driving Project, bringing the total grant appropriation to $56,112. The grant funds will be used to purchase additional speed detection radar units. Serving the Interests of the People of Our Island Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer FC -19 Page 2 September 17, 2013 Comm. 416: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING (Bill 125) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30. 2014 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 28, 2013. Increases revenues of $32,367 in the Federal Grants - Hawai`i County Police Department (HCPD) Roadblock Program account, and appropriates same to the HCPD Roadblock Program account. The State Department of Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing additional funding of $32,367 the HCPD's Roadblock program, bringing the total grant appropriation to $187,367. The grant funds will be used to increase the number Driving Under the Influence enforcement arrests for fiscal year 2013 -2014. Comm. 417: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING (Bill 126) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2014 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 28, 2013. Increases revenues of $90,000 in the State Grants - Hawai`i County Nutrition Program account, and appropriates same to the Hawaii County Nutrition Program account. The State Department of Health, Executive Office on Aging is providing additional funding of $90,000, bringing the total grant appropriation to $202,159. The grant funds will be used for the Nutrition Program's home delivered meals services. Comm. 418: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -66, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC (Bill 127) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 TO JUNE 30, 2014 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 28, 2013. Increases the Public Works, Ali`i Drive Culvert Replacement (County) project by $308,000, bringing the total of the County's portion to $758,000. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - Fund Balance and /or Other Sources. Comm. 419: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -66, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC (Bill 128) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2013 TO JUNE 30, 2014 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 28, 2013. Adds the Mamalahoa Highway Improvements (County) project for $1.5 million to the Capital budget. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - Fund Balance and /or Other Sources. For further information, please call 961 -8245. Submitting Written Testimony: Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring fourteen (14) copies for distribution. Please submit separate testimony for each item. Submitting Video Testimony: Those submitting video testimony may email a complete web address (url) to videotestimony@hawaiicounty.gov before 12:00 noon on the business day prior to the meeting. The email shall indicate the appropriate Committee or Council meeting, the meeting date, agenda item (communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video testimony will not be played during the meeting; however, it will be distributed to Council Members prior to the meeting. The Office of the County Clerk reserves the right to refuse testimony containing inappropriate content or that is not in compliance with Council Rule 13 (Public Statements and Testimony).
