The Ane Keohokālole project required the installation of an underground line extension to power streetlights and an overhead line extension to power the Keahuolu Interpretive Center by Hawai‘i Electric Light Company (HELCO), which was paid for with ARRA funds. In accordance with HELCO’s Rule No. 13, part of this cost is refundable based on income generated by the line extensions over a five-year period (up to $251,365).
