Subject: In support of Ms. Willie's Bill 113
I would like to submit this statement in support of Ms. Willie's Bill 113. More and more
countries around the world are banning GMO food because of its healh risks and danger to our
environment. I do not want my family to be placed in danger of illness and worse from these
dangerous products. Please follow your heart and not be distracted by vested big money
interests as it is the health of all our children and their survival that is at stake. The companies
that profit from these products do not mention the health risks. But now there is more and more
information being released around the world showing the horrors of eating and growing these
products. Big Island farmers can be educated on these matters in a way that it would not be
disastrous to their business if they can be given a transitional time to not grow these any more.
The market for organic food is growing around the world and they can also profit in such a
healthier direction.
