As a health care provider and former Biology teacher, I concerned about the harm that genetically engineered organisms will have on our ecosystem, food resources and our human health. These GMO's require massive amounts of pesticides (poisons) that are detrimental to insect, animal and human lives. One GMO specie in an ecosystem has many links (Do we know all of the aariables?) to many other species and a harmful effect can increase exponentially out of our control. Insects like bees that are essential in cross pollination (the natural process of making hybrids to adapt to a changing environment and to create the necessary diversity in a stable ecosystem) may be affected and unable to assist food plants in reproducing. Animals and humans may eventually sicken. "in ounce of prevention, is Nr orth a pound of cure." I, my family and friends don't want to buy and eat (;MO foods.
