Please vote against Bill 113. While its intentions are good, its reasoning is not based on verifiable
scientific fact. Thus far, there are no proven claims of harm to human life from GMO products; there
are federal laws that protect us from harmful foods. The County of Hawaii does not have the financial
ability to adequately and fairly test crops to determine if they are of transgenic nature. Please do
something positive for the agricultural community on this island instead placing further restrictions on
their ability to provide us with sustainable food or other crops.
