Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 547-92, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 547-92 is to urge the Hawaii
Congressional delegation to oppose the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA) .
The Committee believes that the NAFTA will adversely affect our
agricultural industry as well as other industries in the United
States due to our ineffectiveness to compete against the low wages
paid by foreign countries .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent and purpose of
Resolution No. 547-92 and recommends its adoption.
