Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution
No . 543-92, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No. 543-92 is to acknowledge the excellent
work done by the Army and Air National Guard units, activated from
the County of Hawaii , to help the Hurricane Iniki victims on the
Island of Kauai .
The Committee on Finance wishes to express our heartfelt mahalo to
our guardsmen for their dedication and unselfish sacrifice made to
help the residents on the Island of Kauai after the disaster from
Hurricane Iniki .
The Committee would also like to thank the Guardsmen for representing
the Big Island in such a fine manner . They made us proud by the
exemplifying manner in which they conducted themselves .
Your Committee recommends that copies of the Resolution be sent to
the Honorable Lorraine Inouye, Mayor, County of Hawaii and the Big
Island Army and Air National Guards .
Your Committee on Finance concurs with the intent and purpose of
Resolution No . 543-92 and recommends its adoption.
