NO TO FRACKING IN HAWAII (but if you already have your minds made up for you)--
Is it cost effective
Big Island needs it's own"Standard of Operating Procedures"with input from professionals
from all fields involved with added necessary updates.
All the risks are identified, first, with"what if plans" in place!!! What can go wrong during
major earthquakes or eruptions? Who's responsible?
There needs to be a limit set to the amount of fracking allowed within the next 35 years.
Who's responsible for the total "clean-up/over-sight"of the existing PVG plant—when?
No fracking for electricity used by other islands; each island takes care of it's own issues.
Must be aware of any and all chemicals being brought into Hawaii and used for fracking.
Must be a guarantee no chemicals enter the water table;there can be no cumulative chemicals
deposited or spilled over time.
Any"flow-back"water/or substances are analyzed and properly disposed of(by who?).
There needs to be a Hawaii fracking-trained engineer/environmentalist on site at all times; and,
Hawaii must have access to all meter readings (or have their own).
Hawaii to have access to company's computerized readings, as the on-site drillings are
recorded at time of each drill.
There can be no fracking for any other collection of earth elements.
Which City and County/State departments should receive monies from drilling company
for water used, disposal of any environmental toxins,tearing down and cleaning site after use,
payment for lawyers needed by residents if issues occur.
Above all, drill in specific "Industrial Site" area away from housing areas; no more drilling at
Pohoiki.
Guaranteed electricity for Big Island, only
Guaranteed no chemicals used and none used"while"drilling through water tables
Company doing drilling obligates money to repair/build roads
No fracking underneath other's properties
Company finances it's own machine shop at the"Industrial Site"and hires local citizens
But if you are listening, please no more fracking in Hawaii, until "all" necessary pre-planning has
been completed and then some and then proven to the public all is safe and really necessary.
