There is absolutely no credible scientific evidence that Bio Tech crops are harmful in any way to humans, animals, or the environment. It is extremely disappointing that elected officials are wasting time and effort on an issue without merit. Your time would be better spent looking at ways to make Hawaii more self sustaining by promoting the development of agriculture and embracing new technologies that would displace some of the 85% of food that is imported in to the state. The passage of either bill would be devastating to agriculture and the local economy and make the county and state even more reliant on imported food.
