These bills do not reflect adequate, sound scientific research and are potentially hazardous to our agricultural communities. As a rancher, farmer and research associate in Entomology, I join the conventional farmers and ranchers of this island (Hamakua Farm Bureau, Hawaii Papaya Industry Association, Hawaii Banana Industry Association, Hawaii Cattlemen's Council, and Hawaii Floriculture and Nursery Association) who are united in opposition to bans on technologies that could help us in the future.
